A 15-year-old boy was killed and two other teenagers seriously injured on Tuesday after a gunman opened fire in South Los Angeles, police said. The suspect immediately fled the scene after the incident around 4 p.m., and police had not announced any arrests as of Tuesday night. The gunman, described as a man wearing jeans and a hoodie, approached the three teens near an intersection and opened fire. It’s unclear what the motive was, but the incident occurred near John Muir Middle School and Augustus Hawkins High, and local media reported a school bus near the scene. Police have not yet said whether any of the victims were students, however. The names of the victims have not been released, though the two surviving victims were identified as female.
