Syria has agreed to 500 Arab League “observers” to monitor the nation, as the bloody nine-month uprising in the country increases. Unfortunately, the opposition thinks that the move is an effort to stall, as more than 100 were reportedly killed Monday. The “observers” will work for one month and be “free” to go as they please—but will be barred from military areas. The Arab League is expected to push the government to stop its violent crackdown and let activists and journalists operate freely.
