A 17-year-old boy has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder and seven counts of attempted murder in a shooting at a school and home in an aboriginal community in western Canada. Four people are dead and others are in critical condition after a shooting at the La Loche Community School in Saskatchewan, Canada. Due to his age, the suspect;s name has not been released.
Among the victims is Acting Mayor Kevin Janvier’s daughter, who was a teacher at the school. Janvier said that police told him the suspected gunman shot two of his siblings at home before going to school.
The three other victims have been identified as Adam Wood and brothers Dayne and Drayden Fontaine.
Prime Minister Trudeau originally said that five people had been killed. That number has since been corrected to four.
