Two people have been arrested on suspicion of plotting terror attacks in Brussels over Christmas, Belgian authorities said Tuesday. The arrests were part of a counterterrorism operation across the city and in nearby Brabant and Liege on Sunday and Monday. Prosecutors said six people were initially questioned after the raids, but four of them were released. Police reportedly found military apparel, ISIS propaganda, and computer material, which authorities say they are investigating. The pair were accused of terror threats and participation in terrorist activity. One of the suspects was allegedly accused of being “in the role of a leader and involved in recruiting.”
