Temple Grandin

HBO’s Temple Grandin swept the movies and miniseries categories and took seven Emmys total, including one for Claire Danes. The namesake for the film was in the audience as Mick Jackson took the Emmy for directing it (Directing, Movie or Miniseries), and Grandin herself took the stage when Temple Grandin won again (Best Made-for-TV Movie).

Mad Men

Mad Men’s starry ensemble cast made their way to the stage for the third year in a row to receive the Emmy for Best Drama Series. The show’s creator, Matthew Weiner, gave thanks on behalf of all of Sterling Cooper Draper Price.

Edie Falco opened her acceptance speech (Best Actress in a Comedy for Nurse Jackie) by saying “Ridiculous! That’s what this is," referring (also humbly) to her fellow comedienne nominees.

Heidi Klum's sky-high heels scared her husband Seal, he joked in a red-carpet interview. The shoes? "Louboutins, of course," Klum said. The dress? A black mini by Marchesa.

John Krasinski, donning Prada to present for the evening, brought his new bride, Emily Blunt, in a purple off-the-shoulder Christian Dior gown, along for the fun. Married life is "fantastic," he told Chris Harrison, adding that George Clooney's wedding gift to the couple was "letting us have it at his house." When Harrison commented that Kathy Bates is the likeliest successor to Steve Carell's boss job on The Office, Krasinski seemed to agree.
