Making their name a tad more literal, the president of the motorcycle gang American Outlaw Association, or Outlaws, and 26 other members were indicted by a federal grand jury on Tuesday in Virginia. Charges allege the group is a criminal enterprise that has used violence against rival motorcycle gangs and distributed drugs. The indictment, which was issued on June 10 but only released to the public on Tuesday, charges the members with attempted murder, kidnapping, assault, bribery, extortion, witness intimidation, narcotics distribution, illegal gambling, and weapons violations. The indictment also says that in October 2009, Jack Rosga, the group's president, directed the gang members to attack a member of the Hells Angels gang, and then in November, several Outlaws members assaulted a man at the Hard Times Café in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
