At least 28 people are dead after an avalanche overtook a hiking trail in Nepal on Tuesday, though officials say the final toll may be higher. Nine bodies were recovered on Thursday and 220 so far have been rescued. Authorities say that many, however, are still missing. Hikers from Nepal, Israel, Canada, India, Slovakia and Poland are among the dead, who were mostly found on the Annapurna Circuit, a well-known route. The blizzard is said to be linked to Cyclone Hudhud, which tore through India last week.
