Missouri faced a second night of protests following the fatal shooting of black teenager Antonio Martin by a white police officer on Tuesday. During Christmas Eve, as many as 100 people gathered at the Mobil gas station where the 18-year-old was killed. Some proceeded to Interstate 170 where they shut down sections of the highway. Police say Martin was suspected of robbing the gas station in Berkeley, Missouri. Cops released video in which Martin appears to be pointing a gun at a cop before he is fatally shot. Still, his death sparked painful parallels to the fatal shooting of Michael Brown, another black teenager from a St. Louis suburb, by a white officer, Darren Wilson. “It’s been strange because of what we’ve been in the midst of. It just didn’t feel like Christmas to me,” said Rev. Traci Blackmon of nearby Christ the King United Church of Christ at the Christmas mass.
