A wheelchair-bound man took five people hostage in a rural Virginia post office Wednesday, shutting down three blocks of downtown Wytheville as police sent in a SWAT team and a bomb technician after unconfirmed reports that the hostage-taker had strapped explosives to his chest. Shots were fired, but no injuries have been reported; according to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the man's only demand was for a pizza.
