At least 500 are dead in South Sudan after a brutal clash following a cattle raid. The BBC reports that the incident, which happened Thursday in Jonglei, was caused by the Murle group attacking the majority Lou Nuer and stealing 38,000 cows. Hundreds were wounded and more than 200 were abducted, mostly children. The town of Pieri was hit hardest and has been burned down. The attack is the most recent between the Murle and the Lou Nuer, a growing concern for the one-month-old nation.
