An offshore earthquake shook eastern Indonesia on Saturday and had at least one aftershock, the U.S. Geological Survey reported—but luckily, Indonesian officials said there was no danger of a tsunami. The earthquake struck offshore, and in the nearest town residents ran from their houses and buildings, officials said. While Indonesia’s National Disaster Mitigation Agency waited for further reports, they said that there was no news of serious damage in the area.
