Seven people have been charged in the death of a recent Georgia Lottery winner, who was killed just two months after he hit a $434,272 jackpot. At least three masked people broke into Craigory Burch Jr.’s home in late January, purportedly to rob him of his winnings, and then shot him to death. Ben Hill County Sheriff Bobby McLemore said the attack appeared to be targeted. All seven suspects in the crime were charged with malice murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Burch, who was 20 years old, worked as a forklift operator. He used some of his lottery winnings to buy holiday gifts for the needy.
