Three students at New Jersey’s Sayreville War Memorial High School were charged with sex crimes on Friday after an investigation into a high school football team’s hazing practices found that they held other students against their will and improperly touched them. According to Middlesex County prosecutor Andrew C. Carey, three of the students were charged with aggravated assault, criminal restraint, hazing and other crimes for an act of sexual penetration upon one of the students. Six of the seven students were arrested by Friday night and the seventh was being sought. The attacks occurred between Sept. 19 and Sept. 29. The school’s football season has been canceled as a result.
