More than 3 million people die prematurely from air pollution according to a new study published in the journal Nature. That is more than the annual deaths caused by malaria and HIV/AIDS combined. The report also warned that the number will double by 2050. Most deaths are caused by the inhalation of small particles that can cause heart attacks and strokes.
