Airstrikes that are believed to have been launched by the U.S.-led coalition struck an oil refinery in Syria early Sunday morning that are currently held by ISIS. The strikes hit near the Turkish border around 2:30 a.m. local time. "Our building was shaking and we saw fire, some 60 meters (65 yards) high, coming from the refinery," said Mehmet Ozer, a man who lives in the Turkish town of Akcakale. The U.S. did not immediately comment on the airstrikes. Since Tuesday night, the U.S. along with five Arab nations have carried out airstrikes against ISIS forces in Syria, though many have questioned the long-term stability of this coalition.
