You can no longer ask Samuel L. Jackson to tell you about the weather. Amazon’s Alexa is “winding down” its celebrity program, which allowed consumers to pay $5 to personalize the device with famous voices including Shaquille O’Neal and Melissa McCarthy. Amazon gave no explanation for why it’s ditching the offering, CNET reported. The ability to give the voice assistant an accent is still available.
