South Korea border guards arrested an American man they say was trying to swim across the border into North Korea, Seoul’s implacable enemy. The man was not been identified, but was said to be in his late twenties or early thirties. He was detained Tuesday night at a river near the restricted Demilitarized Zone. An official told Fox News that investigators are questioning the man to find out why he apparently was trying to enter the North. Yonhap news agency reported that the man told officials he wanted to meet North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. North Korea has not been very welcoming to Americans. Pyongyang has three in custody, one of whom, Matthew Miller, recently was sentenced to six years’ hard labor for illegally entering the country and committing “hostile acts.”
