Amtrak and police officials are investigating after a New York-bound train was hit by a possible bullet late Sunday, cracking a window on an Acela train. “Immediately everybody looked at it and said ‘Oh my God, it’s a gunshot,” a passenger told reporters. “Is that a bullet hole?” The Acela Express Train was traveling north through the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia when it was struck at around 7 p.m. The incident came on the eve of the National Transportation Safety Board’s report on the May 2015 Amtrak crash in Philadelphia that left eight people dead and injured more than 200 passengers.
