This is becoming a disturbing pattern.
Police struggled to capture an alligator in Lakeland, Florida on Tuesday after the creature was spotted chewing on a human body.
The officers had received a 911 call from someone at a nearby senior care community, describing an 8-to-10-foot gator chewing on an adult male corpse.
A spokesperson for the community, Florida Presbyterian Homes, told NBC News the body was missing an arm and a leg.
This is the second time in two months that Florida alligators have been caught munching on human remains. In May, two fisherman found a couple of gators eating a human corpse in the Everglades.
