An 85-pound weight loss is nothing to sneeze at, but Aretha Franklin does not want gastric-bypass surgery taking credit for her recently dropped weight. Franklin admitted she had surgery recently, but she said she “would not” have had gastric bypass surgery as rumored. Franklin also denied claims that she had pancreatic cancer, saying she was “not even going to deal with” those. “It’s really not necessary to talk about one’s personal medical [health],” Franklin told Access Hollywood. Franklin, 68, said last week she stopped eating fatty foods to lose the weight. When all is said and done though, Franklin said her doctor told her she had added 15 years onto her life.
