Governor Asa Hutchinson has signed a new "religious freedom" bill just a day after he asked for changes to a previous one deemed anti-gay. The new one is reportedly closer to the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act in its language than the previous one. According to the AP, supporters of the new bill claim it will prevent businesses from using the law to deny services to individuals. Meanwhile, in Indiana, Republican Governor Mike Pence signed the "clarification bill" to the previous bill many had said allowed for discrimination of gays. The "clarification" says that no business can discriminate against gays except for churches and church-affiliated schools.
