After high school, Jon Heder spent two years as a Mormon missionary in Japan, where he learned the language. But the idea that dimwitted Napoleon Dynamite could actually speak Japanese was too much for one reporter at Comic-Con 2011 to believe. And when he asked Heder to say a little something in the language during a Dynamite panel, the 33-year-old actor was happy to oblige—in character.
