Rage Against the Machine—Sleep Now in the Fire

Next Previous

Zach de la Rocha and his band raged against the wrong machine 11 years ago when, led by political-minded director Michael Moore, the band tried to storm into the New York Stock Exchange while filming the video for their song “Sleep Now in the Fire.” Security officers denied the rockers access, leading to a verbal shouting match between the band and security. De la Rocha was then also physically shoved away when he attempted to sneak in via a side door. City police became involved when extras from the shoot began crowding the entrance, but no arrests were made, and Rage and Moore gave up trying to infiltrate the stock exchange.
