Stars Occupy Wall Street

Lupe Fiasco’s fellow rapper-activist-poet Talib Kweli chose a more musical way of showing his support for the Wall Street occupiers earlier this month. The Brooklyn native rapped a cappella to a silently captive audience of a few hundred and even debuted a brand-new song, “Distractions,” a criticism of American complacency. “When I see things like Occupy Wall Street, I just try to align myself with things that make sense,” Kweli told MTV News. “Shame on me if I know something and don’t spread it, you know? If I know, it becomes my responsibility to spread the information.”
