Halloween was always a special time of year for Roseanne—the sitcom produced what became an annual episode devoted to the holiday after its first in Season 2, titled “BOO!” The 1989 episode follows the Conners as they turn their home into the “Tunnel of Terror” for the neighbors and pull pranks on each other to determine who is the true “master” of scaremonies. When oldest daughter Becky says she hates Halloween, Roseanne teaches her the true meaning of the evening: “Halloween is the one night of the entire year where the veil is lifted between the living and the dead.
