Obama told Medvedev they could talk more ‘after my election.’ Read about other open-mic blunders.
What do they say about counting your chickens before they hatch, President Obama? Apparently unaware his mic was on, the commander-in-chief said Monday that he needed some “space” until “after my election” during a conversation with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. “This is my last election,” Obama said. “After my election, I have more flexibility.” Medvedev was pushing Obama to talk to the newly-elected Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Medvedev agreed to relay the message back to Putin. Unless, of course, Putin got to read about it on the Internet as the comments went viral shortly after.
