Playing an emotionally distant but charming playboy, Gosling’s character, Jacob, finds himself unexpectedly drawn to Hannah, played by Emma Stone. When he finally finds himself alone with her at his place, Jacob finds that none of his usual lady-killing tricks are working on her—except for one. Recreating the climactic dance scene from Dirty Dancing, Jacob has Hannah run into his arms, then lifts her into the air while the song “Time of My Life” plays in the background. As he slowly brings her down, they kiss. Needless to say after a move like that, Jacob and Hannah become an item.
