William and Kate Immortalised in Wax by Madame Tussauds

New models launch in time for the one year anniversary of the Royal Wedding

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made their wax debut at Madame Tussauds in New York today, when figures of the young Royal couple were revealed.

Kate and Williams’ likenesses were also unveiled at Madame Tussauds attractions in London and Amsterdam, with each location portraying the Duchess in a different style.

Madame Tussaud's New York’s Duchess wears a replica of the stunning Alexander McQueen floor-sweeping gown she wore on her trip to LA last year.

In London, the couple’s portrayal is inspired by their iconic engagement pose. Catherine is dressed in a copy of the blue Issa London dress she wore on the day of the announcement, created for Tussauds by the Issa design team.

Prince William is in a replica of the Gieves and Hawkes navy two piece single breasted suit, again recreated specially by the Savile Row tailors. William sports a replica of the Omega Seamaster watch he wore on his engagement day.

The couple are now featured in a special 'Royal Zone' throne room setting in London. Situated nearby are Her Majesty The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, as well as Princess Harry and the Late Princess Diana.

Quite a family photo, we are sure all royalists would agree.
