Seems like Michelle Obama's got some competition on the edible garden front.

Kate Middleton revealed today that she grew her own potatoes while visiting a community garden during her tour of the north east today.

The future Queen of England revealed her tubertastic side while chatting to a group of green-fingered amateur gardeners.

However, she told the gardeners that her spuds weren't as big as the ones they had produced.

The only question is which variety of spuds is she growing? King Edwards? Jersey Royals? Or Wexford Queens?
