No Doubt Becomes Fashion Designers; There's A Marchesa Documentary Coming

And Paris Hilton is a big deal in India.

No Doubt, Fashion Designers: No Doubt’s back in the music game, and they’re designing a fashion collection to celebrate. The alternative band, fronted by noted fashion entrepreneur Gwen Stefani, has collaborated with Fred Perry on a line of preppy basics with hints of Ska and Reggae influences. It’ll hit US stores this January. [Telegraph]

Hoofing It: A new record for the world’s largest catwalk was set yesterday in Hong Kong. The nearly two-mile-long catwalk was a collaboration between the Danish Fashion Institute and the Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association. 158 models dressed in Danish fashions paraded down the runway, with Hong Kong’s picturesque skyline and port in the background. All In The Family: The Harvey Weinstein-owned television franchise, Project Runway will profile Weinstein’s wife’s line, Marchesa, with a special 30-minute documentary. “Project Runway Spotlight: Marchesa,” will air on Lifetime on December 20, featuring interviews with some of Marchesa’s celebrity fans as well as Vogueeditor, Anna Wintour. Paris Hilton Hits India Catwalk: Paris Hilton may have tapped out her opportunities in the US circa 2007, so she’s done what any mini mogul would do—hit up an emerging market. Hilton headed to India last week to participate in India Resort Fashion Week, modeling in shows like Shane and Falguni Peacock. “Asia is one of my biggest markets,” she told WWD, “I’m looking to expand more in India in 2013. I already have stores in the Middle East and many other parts of Asia.” [WWD
