Margiela x H&M May Have Been A Bust; Drew Barrymore Is Launching A Makeup Line

And Naomi Campbell wants to make it clear she didn't play elephant polo.

Was Margiela x H&M A Bust?: The Post reports that H&M’s most recent collaboration with Maison Martin Margiela isn’t selling too well. Sources blame the collection’s higher price points and avant garde styles. But H&M shot back, saying that they are “very happy by [our] customers’ positive reactions [to the collection].” [Page Six]

Drew Barrymore’s Makeup Line: Drew Barrymore, who currently serves as a celebrity face for Cover Girl cosmetics, is launching her own line of makeup. Titled ‘Flower,’ the new line is a collaboration between Barrymore and manufacturing firm Maesa Group, and will hit 1,509 Wal-Mart stores this January. The line will include 181 different products, priced between $4.98 an $13.98. [WWD]

Dolce & Gabbana Headed to Court: Dolce & Gabbana designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s request to have serious charges of tax evasion dropped, has been rejected. They’ve been presented with three hearing dates—all scheduled for early 2013. Sources say that witnesses from Italy’s national ministry of economy and finance as well as the country’s revenue service will be asked to testify. [WWD]

Naomi Campbell’s New Beef: Naomi Campbell’s notorious temper is now being waged against British newspaper The Telegraph. The supermodel has sued the paper with charges of libel after they ran a story that she had organized an elephant polo match in India. The article, which ran on November 3, detailed Campbell’s elaborate birthday party for boyfriend Vladislav Doronin, at which guests reportedly played the controversial sport. The piece has since been removed from the paper’s site, and Campbell denies all reports that the elephant matches took place. [HuffPo Style]
