Lady Gaga’s Open Letter to Kelly Osbourne, Beyoncé to Star in H&M Campaign?
Lady Gaga’s Open Letter: After chiming in on Cathy Horyn’s open letter war with Oscar de la Renta, Lady Gaga has penned her own open letter to Kelly Osbourne, host of E!’s Fashion Police program. The letter was written in response to an interview Osbourne gave to Fabulous magazine in which she says, “Lady Gaga’s fans are the worst. They’ve said I should kill myself, that they hope I get raped, I mean it’s crazy but I’ve had all this in my life and I just try to ignore it.” Gaga hit back at Osbourne’s criticism of her fans as well as her show, writing, “It used to make me truly sad when I would hear people talk about your weight when you were younger, as I was bullied too. To see you blossoming in to a beautiful slender woman who makes fun of others for a living is astounding.” [Little Monsters]
Anthropologie’s Dolce Mistake: It seems that Anthropologie has pulled an offensive candlestick from its website (that’s right, an offensive candlestick). The brand’s “Trinket & Treasure” $398 Candlestick features many knick-knacks, including a porcelain Mammy doll similar to the Dolce & Gabbana earrings that sparked outrage earlier this year. The item is listed as ‘no longer available’ on the brand’s site. [BuzzFeed Shift]
WeiBo Continues to Gain Steam: It seems like Harper’s Bazaar editor Glenda Bailey is looking to extend her reach to the east by signing up for WeiBo, China’s version of Twitter. The social media site has been gaining headway with western brands including Derek Lam and Oscar de la Renta, who have already created accounts to draw audiences in the expanding market. [Twitter]
May Anderson Pregnant: Supermodel May Anderson is reportedly pregnant. Anderson, 30, has been dating fiancé (and superstar artist) Julian Schnabel, 60, since last April. Congrats to the happy couple! [NY Post]
Beyoncé for H&M? Call it wishful thinking, but after yesterday’s Destiny’s Child reunion announcement Beyoncé fans still want more. On Wednesday, Bey was spotted posing for a fashionable photo shoot in the Bahamas, around the time that one of her dancers tweeted (and later deleted), “First day of trial in the Bahamas! H&M all set…go,” leading some to believe that she might be appearing in an upcoming H&M campaign. [People]
