Thom Browne on the FLOTUS: Thom Browne, the designer of Michelle Obama’s Inauguration ceremony outfit worn today, has already opened up about what it’s like to dress one of the world’s most famous fashion plates. “It’s overwhelming,” he told the New York Times's fashion reporter Eric Wilson by phone this morning. “it is one of those rare moments in someone’s career that you will always remember. There’s not a word that can really describe it. It’s just amazing.” Browne met Mrs. Obama in 2012 at a White House event where he received a National Design Award for fashion design. “She has been so supportive ever since then,” Browne said of his relationship with the First Lady.
