Rihanna Teams with MAC: MAC Cosmetics has signed a major deal with Rihanna. She’s signed on to create multiple color collections for the brand, the first of which will roll in to stores later this year. Moncler Exec’s Art Heist: Moncler’s former head of international media relations was arrested at JFK airport on Saturday for allegedly stealing a Salvador Dali painting off an Upper East Side gallery wall last year. Phivos Lampros Istavrioglou reportedly stole the $150,000 art work only to feel guilty and mail it back from Greece. Police reportedly lifted his fingerprints off of the painting, which were already catalogued in an NYPD database after he stole steak from an NYC WholeFoods market last January. A spokesperson from Moncler has confirmed that Istarioglou is no longer employed by the brand. [Telegraph]

T’s Lack of Diversity Prompts Reader Response: New York Times public editor Margaret Sullivan wrote a piece in Tuesday’s paper criticizing Deborah Needleman’s first issue of T magazine for its lack of racial diversity, labeling it “overwhelmingly white.” According to Sullivan, many of the magazine’s readers found issue with it as well, with many writing letters to the Times to express their dismays. Says one reader: “As near as I can tell, there was one black face in the entire magazine, as many as there were purple plastic faces.” Needleman responded, writing “It was something I noticed and regretted as we were putting the issue together…We can and will aim to do better, but our goal is first and foremost to deliver the best stories we find, and it is my belief that quality and good journalism appeal to all of us regardless of our specific ethnic origins." Costume Guild Award Winners: Anna Karenina and Mirror Mirror scored big at yesterday’s Costume Designers Guild Awards with the films taking home top prizes for Outstanding period Film and Outstanding Fantasy Film, respectively. The two movies are expected to go head-to-head at Sunday night’s Oscars ceremony in the Best Costume Design category.
