5x15 Returns to New York in March

For the first event of 2013, 5x15 comes to New York's Players Club with a lineup of satirical songs, the life of Joe P. Kennedy, the author of ‘The Central Park 5,’ and more. Each in 15 minutes. Join on March 5.

5x15 is back in New York for the first event of 2013 after two sell-out evenings in 2012.

Taking place at the Players Club in Gramercy Park on Tuesday, March 5, the event features a fascinating and eclectic lineup: a bestselling biographer, a filmmaker, a poet, a satirical songwriter, and a theater critic who will each have 15 minutes to tell a story and entertain on a subject dear to their hearts.

The evening will present:

Christopher Mason—who has performed for everyone from Bill Clinton to Donald Trump and is the host of Behind Mansion Walls, the television program about high-society homicide—will entertain with satirical songs.

Sarah Burns—author of the book The Central Park 5, recently turned into a documentary—will tell the story of one of New York City’s most notorious crimes, and the five men wrongly convicted of it.

Pulitzer Prize–nominated biographer David Nasaw talks about the remarkable life and turbulent times of “the Patriarch” Joseph P. Kennedy.

Theatre critic Michael Riedel talks about his sharp pen, illuminating and eviscerating the denizens of Broadway.

And Jeffrey McDaniel delivers inspirational poetry and performance.

It promises to be an evening of entertainment and surprises.
