How Will History Remember Benedict, Ctd?
Commenter "BioProf" with a thoughtful (and concise!) retort to yesterday's quote about the legacy of Pope Benedict XVI:
All well and good. But is the pope supposed to be philosopher and scholar or a leader, a pastor caring for the well-being of his flock? Catholic philosophers do not dwell in the real world, a world where people interact with each other and with nature, a world full of problems, pain, and bad people.
Good points, although I suspect the answer to BioProf's question is "both".
We'll be directing your attention to thoughtful Catholic writers as the Papal Conclave unfolds over the next few weeks. In the meantime, I'll link (again) to Michael Brendan Dougherty's Business Insider post on the list of potential replacements for Pope Benedict.
