House of Versace Unhappy With Lifetime Biopic; Kate Upton is All Covered Up in Sports Illustrated

And Tyra Banks sues over copycat wigs.

House of Versace Unhappy With Lifetime Biopic: On Saturday, October 5, Lifetime will debut its original film House of Versace, and the design house isn't too pleased. Versace released an official statement to WWD stating "Versace has neither authorized nor had any involvement whatsoever in the forthcoming TV movie about Mrs. Versace." The film is adapted from the 2010 book entitled House of Versace: The Untold Story of Genius, Murder, and Survival, to which the house also stated, “Since Versace did not authorize the book on which it is based, the movie should only be seen as a work of fiction." [WWD]

Kate Upton is All Covered Up in Sports Illustrated: Sorry boys! Kate Upton's latest Sports Illustrated cover is much different than her previous ones. The model posed with Atlanta Braves baseball players BJ and Justin Upton for the magazine's October 7 issue in a complete Braves jersey, rather than her usual bikini -- proof that Upton can make anything look good. [Huffington Post]

Tyra Banks Sues Over Copycat Wigs: Supermodel Tyra Banks is reportedly suing 10 different wig companies to stop sales of wigs apparently inspired by her hairstyles over the years. According to TMZ, Banks is seeking $10 million dollars in damages, claiming that each business is using her '"name, photograph, image, and identity'—as well as her trademarks." [TMZ]

Gwyneth Paltrow Joins Instagram: At approximately 5:30 p.m. last night, Gwyneth Paltrow joined Instagram and posted her first picture. The Iron Man 3 star amassed 5,000 followers with the first few hours, and the numbers are continuing to grow. Her first, and so far only, post was of herself and designer Jason Wu and surprisingly not of her collaboration with Stella McCartney, her website GOOP, or her cookbook (although her profile picture does show her in the kitchen with her son, Moses). Paltrow has not collaborated with the Wu in the past, but The Cut speculates that Paltrow may be branching out and wearing some of the designer's sexier designs down the red carpet in the near future. Wu also quickly re-grammed the picture, adding ''welcome to Instragram!" [The Cut]

Cara Delevingne Scores a New Movie Role: Model Cara Delevingne's aspiring film career continues to prosper. This week, make-up artist Siân Richards tweeted a photo of herself and the model on the last day of filming for upcoming movie London Fields. The film, an adaptation of Martin Amis's 1989 muder-mystery book of the same name, will star Amber Heard, Billy Bob Thornton, and Jim Sturgess. [The Telegraph]
