‘Pretty Little Liars’ Star Acknowledges 'GQ' Photoshop; Joseph Altuzarra Tapped as Next Target Collection Fashion Designer

And Burberry to launch skin care line.

Pretty Little Liars Star Acknowledges GQ Photoshop: When the cast of the hit television teen drama Pretty Little Liars popped up on the pages of GQ, criticism was, naturally, directed at the magazine for its heavy use of photoshop. At this point, should we really be shocked that magazines and celebrities (even Beyonce) alter photos? That’s what the show's star, Troian Bellisario, told her Instagram followers. “OF COURSE WE WERE!” Bellisario admitted in regards to being photoshopped when posting one of the shoot's photos. She continued to state that followers should “acknowledge how it was achieved” and realize that it isn’t a true representation of their bodies. Shortly after, Bellisario posted multiple unretouched photos from the shoot for comparison. [Cosmopolitan]

Joseph Altuzarra Tapped as Next Target Collection Fashion Designer: Continuing the highly popular series of seasoned designer capsule collections, including Phillip Lim, Peter Pilotto, and Jason Wu, Target announced Thursday that its next collaboration will be with Joseph Altuzarra. “I’ve admired the elegance that Target brings to fast fashion,” the American fashion designer said. “By working together on this capsule collection, we hope to instill a sense of power, confidence and beauty in women everywhere.” The collection, set to hit stores in September, will also see select items sold globally through luxury e-tailer NET-A-PORTER. Burberry to Launch Skin Care Line: Following in the footsteps of Chanel, Tom Ford, and Prada, recently-appointed CEO Christopher Bailey announced that Burberry is “seeking to become a top-10 beauty brand” with the introduction of a skin care category, set to launch in 2015. While specific details have yet to be released, here’s hoping it’s more like Chanel and less like Prada, which was an extremely short-lived endeavor. [The Cut]
