WikiLeaks Founder to Make Fashion Debut; Beyonce and Jay Z Share Never-Before-Seen Wedding Footage

And Sarah Jessica Parker plans her return to television.

WikiLeaks Founder to Make His Fashion Debut: Fashion and politics are an unlikely combination, but when designers come to the defense of the politically controversial, big things can happen. WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange—who has been fighting extradition to Sweden while living in the Ecuadorean Embassy in London—has found support from designer Ben Westwood, who has asked the whistleblower to model his upcoming collection. The show, set to take place this September, will be held at the embassy where Assange resides. “Julian’s been in the embassy for two years and it’s important that he doesn’t slip into obscurity,” the designer told the Daily Mail. “I want to highlight Julian Assange’s plight. What happened to him is totally unfair. I’ve designed something for him along those lines [inspired by The Good, The Bad And The Ugly] and will be getting him to wear it.” [Vogue UK

Beyonce and Jay Z Share Wedding Footage: On Wednesday evening, Beyonce and her rapper husband Jay Z kicked off their highly-anticipated 'On The Run' tour in Miami, and, thanks to social media, fans around the world have gotten a sneak peak at what to expect from the extravaganza. While Beyonce’s wardrobe, which included custom bespoke bodysuits by Versace, was among one of the concert's readily discussed aspects, the biggest shock came when the musical couple shared personal footage from their private wedding ceremony in 2008. Sarah Jessica Parker Plans Her Return To Television: After a decade-long hiatus from a recurring television role, Sarah Jessica Parker is making her return to our screens. The actress will be starring in Busted: A Tale of Corruption and Betrayal in the City of Brotherly Love, a show based on articles written by Pulitzer Prize-winning reporters, Wendy Ruderman and Barbara Laker, which uncovered police corruption in Philadelphia. The series is currently not attached to a network. [Buzzfeed]
