Cara Delevingne Posts Protest Picture Of Her Boob (With Taped-Out Nipple)

Cara Delevingne wants to free her nipples. Do you?

Thanks for oversharing, as the old saying will one day go.

Cara Delevingne, the fatigued, blue-blooded British model as famous for her social media life as she is for her eyebrows, certainly knows how to draw attention to a cause.

And this time, she is backing a new movement called Free The Nipple, which has as its goal “nipple equality” for men and women.

To make this important contribution to society, Cara posed for a photo with an unnamed male model in which her nipple is censored with duct tape. And his isn’t.

It’s pretty straightforward, we feel sure you’ll agree.

The Free The Nipple website declares that it is on “a mission to empower women across the world” and stands "against female oppression and censorship, both in the United States and around the globe,” adding that, “today, in the USA it is effectively ILLEGAL for a woman to be topless, breastfeeding included, in 35 states.”

Wierdly, the website doesn’t have any pictures of boobs (What? Just saving you time) except for some fierce-looking topless ladies wearing neon pink balaclavas, making them appear like a sort of topless terror outfit.

While the philosophy behind the movement is no doubt faultlessly liberal, some commenters on Instagram are not so sure of positive the effects of the campaign in practice if it succeeds in normalising toplessness.

“We live in a society where there are girls who are in love with theirself and flaunt it but the majority are insecure,” says one. “This campaign wouldn’t affect those girls because a sense of security has to come from within...trust me no one but celebrities or girls who have the most amazing bodies will go topless, making other girls only more insecure and nothing less.”
