It may be hard to believe in the wake of recent news cycles, but there actually are professional sports leagues in America besides the NFL. Take Major League Baseball, for example; it's a proud association, devoid of scandal—except for that whole steroid thing, of course—and entering its postseason as summer comes to a close.
To get us all pumped to sit quietly for four hours at a time, TBS—which will air the American League playoffs—has partnered with Emmy and Tony-winning actor Bryan Cranston to produce a unique tribute to the national pastime. Cranston’s acting chops have never been questioned, but they’re put to the test here as he puts on a one-man show recreating the MLB postseason.
Complete with heartfelt monologues, spot-on impressions of baseball commentary, and ballet lessons from Misty Copeland (?), Cranston’s work is full of laughs and reminders of why we love the original American game.
