Tennis star Novak Djokovic, who has long dominated the Australian Open, was stunned Thursday with an upset by Denis Istomin in the second round of this year’s first major tournament. The world’s No. 2-ranked player was looking to win a record seventh Australian Open title when the 117th-ranked Istomin knocked him out after a nearly five-hour epic. “First of all, I feel sorry for Novak. I was playing so good today,” Istomin, an Uzbekistan native, said during his post-match interview. “I surprise myself also today.”
