Stephen Slater tells the heartbreaking story of his friend, a Sudanese refugee who came to Israel to find peace and study the Hebrew Bible—only to face fear and prejudice.
Stephen spent four years living in Jerusalem and its environs, learning at the Hebrew University, and the Hartman Institute. He has a BA in Philosophy, and a MA in Second Temple History and Literature. He speaks fluent French and Hebrew and has lived and travelled extensively in Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
