Imagine if Hollywood had rules like these. The Kannada Film Producers' Association, an Indian production company, lifted a ban on actress Nikita Thurkal, who had been accused of having an affair with fellow actor Darshan. The association had been forced to overturn the ban on Thursday, which they called a “hasty decision," after pressure from the film industry. Originally they said they would only lift the ban if Thurkal apologized, but she refused, saying she had never had an affair with Darshan. The ban came earlier this week after Darshan was arrested on charges of domestic violence following a complaint from his wife, who alleged that Darshan had beaten her and threatened her with a gun during an argument reportedly about the alleged affair with Thurkal.
