I'm reading Now the Hell Will Start by Brendan Koerner. It's about this black GI in World War II who ends up shooting an officer and goes on the run in the jungle in Burma. There's a manhunt going on. It's the most phenomenal book. It talks about segregation in the Army and the conditions the black GIs had to endure and live in.
