Danielle Snyder is the co-designer of Manhattan-based jewelry line DANNIJO, founded in 2008 with sister Jodie Snyder. DANNIJO mixes art and fashion to create edgy, statement pieces reflecting rock ‘n’ roll and vintage style. Danielle and Jodie use their individual tastes to offer design versatility, creating unique concepts by layering mixed materials rare to the fashion jewelry market. DANNIJO jewelry is hand-made in New York and sold in select, high-end stores worldwide. |

 My family and I watched CNN's Heroes on Thanksgiving, and I was really moved by Jordan Thomas' story. A freak scuba diving accident in 2005 left him a double amputee. Jordan has since dedicated his life to ensuring that children with limb loss who are not as fortunate as him have access to prosthetics, and partners with them through their growth years until the age of 18. Jordan is a student at College of Charleston and spent his summer working at a prosthetics and orthotics company. The average cost of one prosthetic leg is $10,000. His foundation estimates that it will need reserves of approximately $90,000 for each child. There are three recipients to date, and there can be a forth recipient with your help.
