![]() My family and I watched CNN's Heroes on Thanksgiving, and I was really moved by Jordan Thomas' story. A freak scuba diving accident in 2005 left him a double amputee. Jordan has since dedicated his life to ensuring that children with limb loss who are not as fortunate as him have access to prosthetics, and partners with them through their growth years until the age of 18. Jordan is a student at College of Charleston and spent his summer working at a prosthetics and orthotics company. The average cost of one prosthetic leg is $10,000. His foundation estimates that it will need reserves of approximately $90,000 for each child. There are three recipients to date, and there can be a forth recipient with your help.
