Mike Huckabee won eight states and more than four million votes during the 2008 Republican presidential primaries. He served as the governor of Arkansas from 1996 to 2007 and as lieutenant governor from 1993 to 1996. Before politics, he worked in broadcasting and advertising and spent twelve years as a pastor and denominational leader. He lives with his wife, Janet, in North Little Rock, Arkansas. The Apple MacBook. After 22 years with a PC, I switched to a Mac and love it. I was not sure I could make the transition, but the learning curve isn’t that bad—even for an old geezer like me. My computer is not a toy, but is my lifeline to my work. I write scripts, keep up correspondence and my calendar, book travel, and even record my daily radio commentaries on it. It has to work and be reliable. |

Oh, come on Mr Huckabee! Even here in degenerate Europe, we know that if you get a Mac, you have a computer that works for you, instead of A.N.Other system, where you have to work for the damn' computer!

The Oster Toaster. After 22 years with a toaster oven, I switched to an Oster toaster and I love it! I wasn't sure I could make the transition, but the learning curve isn't bad. The bread still goes inside the unit, except now it's vertical rather than horizontal. My new toaster is like a "bread of lifeline" to me. It has to work and be reliable. I toast wheat, rye, pumpernickel, even bagels. Watch for a future post about a fairly breathtaking bially experience.
