![]() The Help by Kathryn Stockett is beautifully written and tells the story of brave, heroic women who endured humiliation and abuse under some of the awful women they worked for in the South in the 1950s and 1960s. I was inspired by these characters and I promise that the heroines will stay with you. |

I know it's sold in the “tween” section and written for kids, but Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight is one of the sweetest love stories I've read in a while. So far, it's been the best escape from this arctic blast that I've come across. |

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, a novel by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. I love this sweet, well written story. I'm giving copies to my sisters and friends for Christmas because I loved reading the letters that make up this novel as well as the satisfying "happily ever after." |
