![]() My friend's mom, Wendy, blogs almost daily on a site called Wendy from Encore which goes great with my morning coffee. I like to catch up with my friends across the country by reading their blogs, which is ironic as the phrases “my friend's blog,” “blogging” or “blogosphere" always make me cringe. I just happen to have some very clever friends who are wonderful writers and offer up a slice of real everyday life. |

![]() I love the Road Food website and make sure to see if I'll be driving through a town offering up "The Best..." anything that Road Food recommends. I was surprised to see my close proximity to one of the best turkey clubs I've ever had! |

![]() Hymotion. My family and I are always trying to think of ways to make our life greener, whether it's investing in solar panels or using biodegradable dish soap. One of my favorite things is a book by photographer Gregory Crewdson called Beneath the Roses. Each frame tells a complete story with haunting images of people in the thick of it. For Christmas this year, I asked Santa for Crewdson's other compiled works. |

I'm crazy about TV on the Radio's album, Dear Science. I think TVOTR continues to be one of the most exciting and progressive bands making new music. They are, to quote the band's producer/member Dave Sitek, "Bananas!" |

I think Intervention is one of the best shows on TV. I don't understand the concept of fake "reality" TV shows. I'm not sure what the overwhelming popularity of the genre says about our culture/society as a whole, but I'm sure it's something dismal. Intervention is a unique show as it uses a documentary narrative to take the viewer through the process of addiction and recovery. At the end of each episode there is not always an ideal result, but the show is full of humanity and allows the viewer to have an inside perspective without exploiting the subject. |
