The ‘90s nostalgia continues: MTV announced Wednesday they are reviving their ‘90s cult classic Beavis and Butt-Head, and that it will return to the air this summer. The show, which ran from 1993 until 1997, featured two animated teenagers—described by MTV as “America’s two favorite animated idiots”—who bumbled through life in Texas. Created by Mike Judge, who would later go on to produce King of the Hill on Fox, the show enjoyed 200 episodes and a feature film, despite receiving criticism for promoting violent behavior in children. Even though it ran more than 15 years ago, MTV is clearly hoping to introduce the show to a new generation: The teenage cast of Skins made the announcement of the show’s return. And tween star Justin Bieber tweeted his excitement about the show’s return, saying it was part of his “solid day in NYC.”
